Job Description:
Summary: Responsible for the support of engineers in the process
of electronic testing, planning, and coordinating the development
and design of electronic controls for manufacturing
equipment.Essential Duties and Responsibilities:Research, develop,
and build electrical systems and subsystems needed for the
development of automated machinery for medical electrode production
including complete PLC controls systemsPerform safety evaluations
of design; research, develop and build electrical safety systems
for R&D equipment and componentsProvide support reviewing
engineering project instructions, wiring diagrams, procedures, test
equipment, investigate technical problem and possible solutions
(such as sensor wiring and setup, panel enclosure wiring, PLC
wiring and general electrical troubleshooting)Develop methods and
procedures for testing products or systems including setting up
oscilloscopes, testing equipment, and conducting tests of complete
units and components under operational conditions to investigate
design proposals for improving equipment performance or other
factors, or to obtain data for development, standardization, and
quality controlDocument design activities using schematic capture
software and other engineering toolsExperience with PLC programming
using Relay Ladder Logic & other related programmable devices, PLC
hardware, HMI programmingDocument design activities within PLC
programs, electrical schematics, and other engineering toolsPerform
all other duties as assignedQualification Requirements: Must be
able to perform each duty outlined above and possess the education,
skills, and abilities described in this job descriptionEducation
and/or Experience: A bachelor's degree (B.S.) with five or more
years related experience or equivalent combination of education and
experience.Language Skills: Ability to read, analyze, and interpret
reports (such as general business reports, scientific and technical
journals and/or procedures, AMC policy and regulations, financial
and legal documents) and ability to write and effectively
communicate with managers, clients, customers, and
employeesMathematical Skills: Ability to apply advanced math
conceptsReasoning Ability: Ability to identify problems and review
relevant information to evaluate options and develop
solutionsSpecialized Equipment Skills: Ability to setup and use an
oscilloscope, handheld digital meters, waveform generators,
programmable power supplies and ability to understand the setup new
test equipmentCertificate, Licenses, Registrations: N/APhysical
Requirements:Constant use of hands and armsGood depth perception,
hearing, speech, and vision (including ability to distinguish
colors)Lifting up to 30 pounds (up to 3 feet high) 2 times a
dayEnvironmental Conditions: Majority of time is spent indoors with
few to any changes in temperature and the noise level is usually
moderateOther Skills/Abilities: Computer literacy, especially
knowledge of Outlook, Word, and Excel programsExperience
incorporating robotics into machine designExperience programming
robots/cobots for manufacturingSome Direct Logic, Do-more, and
C-more programming are a plusWrite specifications, work
instructions, and maintenance manuals
