The Job

public mass transit for the San Bernardino Valley in Southern
California is seeking a highly skilled professional to join our
award-winning team. The ideal Candidate hired will provide
high-level administrative support to the Operations Department,
including supervising support staff, coordinating daily
administrative workflows, and ensuring efficient office operations
under minimal supervision.
Examples of Duties
The duties listed below are intended only as illustrations of the

Prepares various tracking reports for management review of daily
operational information.Maintains departmental budgetary reports.
Obtains quotations, prepares requisitions, and processes invoices.
Prepares reports and makes recommendations; performs account
analysis. Arranges travel and lodging reservations for department
staff.Assigns routine tasks to supervisory staff and develops and
maintains logs to track completion.Issues uniforms, equipment and
supplies and maintains/monitors departmental inventory and
maintenance of office equipment and copiers.Coordinates and
documents meetings; prepares actionable meeting summaries and
manages follow-up tasks.SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES
Directly supervises administrative clerk(s). Carries out
supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's
policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include
interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning,
and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and
disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving
problems.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
High school diploma or equivalent and two (2) or more years of
related experience and/or training; or an equivalent combination of
education and experience. Must be familiar with current business
operating systems, software, and programs. Ability to type at least
60 wpm.

Ability to demonstrate the following core competencies:

confidentiality and discretion; adaptability to change. Ability to
manage competing priorities in a fast-paced, deadline-driven

The Selection Process
Candidates will be screened for relevant qualifying experience that
consists of an evaluation of education and experience. The most
competitively qualified candidates will be invited to participate
in the selection process. The selection process may include a
combination of written, performance, and oral examinations. All
