EV Charging Systems Sales Manager, Federal Funding & Gov't Affairs, Grant Applications Manager -Rhombus Energy Solutions (A BorgWarner Company) is a leader in the exciting market of electric vehicle charging systems as well as advanced applications for power conversion systems such as inverters and microgrids. We are the industry leader in vehicle-to-grid (V2G) technologies and proud to manufacture and certify all or our products in the USA. -Cars, trucks and buses produce nearly one-fifth of America's greenhouse-gas emissions (GHGs), all of which must be eliminated to achieve the federal target of net-zero emissions by 2050. In response, the Bipartisan Infrastructure Law (BIL) provides $7.5 billion to develop the country's EV-charging infrastructure. The goal is to install 500,000 public chargers-publicly accessible charging stations compatible with all vehicles and technologies-nationwide by 2030. However, even the addition of half a million public chargers could be far from enough. In a scenario in which half of all vehicles sold are zero-emission vehicles (ZEVs) by 2030-in line with federal targets-we estimate that America would require over 1M EV public chargers to meet future EV demands. -BorgWarner acquired Rhombus Energy Solutions in August of 2022 with the goal of being the top EV charging manufacturing in the world.   • Assess, manage and track all electric vehicle infrastructure funding applications as related to public charging.
  • Nurture and sustain relationships with external funding agencies and electric vehicle stakeholders. Develop partnerships and consortiums to support Rhombus participation in EV infrastructure public funding opportunities.
  • Analyze and review state and federal legislation related to electric vehicle infrastructure funding opportunities.
  • Provide monthly reports to Rhombus leadership and sales team on funding opportunities.
  • Develop and maintain database of incentive programs, VW consent decree and incentive proposals and requirements
  • Influence, identify and respond to requests for quotation (RFQ) and request for information (RFI) as related to federal and state funding opportunities
  • Collaborate with BorgWarner government affairs team on external communication and influencing of state and federal EV infrastructure polity
  • Attend government agency events - such as Clean Fuels, Clean Cities, DOE, DOT - and communicate and influence Rhombus differentiators -Minimum Qualifications:
    • Knowledge with incentive, grant proposal creation and/or submittals
    • Five or more years of project management. Direct experience working with federal, or state agencies preferred.
    • Robust project management, negotiation and facilitation skills required
    • Eager interest in electric vehicles infrastructure and market
    • Capacity to communicate efficiently to a wide range of local, state, and federal program stakeholders, consultants, and Rhombus Energy Solutions sales team
    • Team player and strong communication skills
    • B.S. required policy, communication or business preferred -First 30 days:
      • Work closely with the Rhombus Global VP and sales leaders to get up to speed on current Rhombus products and services
      • Categorize North American local, state, federal and VW consent decree funding opportunities as related to Rhombus Energy Solutions products and services
      • Develop North American map and go to market strategy on funding opportunities. Report findings to Rhombus sales leadership. -By 90 days:
        • Become Rhombus go-to expert for all Rhombus Energy Solutions public funding opportunities.
        • Present and influence local, state, federal and VW consent decree stakeholders on Rhombus differentiators.
        • Qualify Rhombus products and services for North American programs as related to public funding.
        • Participate in government symposiums and organizations and communicate Rhombus value proposition
        • Identify growth opportunities and support business plan as related to public funding. Identify partners and consortiums to enable Rhombus to respond to requests for quote (RFQ) or information (RFI) as related to public funding opportunities. Execute on Q1 go to market strategy. -Location:
