Information Systems Security Manager (ISSM) who will be responsible
for maintaining and enforcing all Information System Security
policies, standards, and directives to ensure accreditation and
certification of information systems processing U.S. government
classified information. You will need to have in-depth working
knowledge of and experience with multiple government directives,
i.e., NISPOM Chapter 8, National Institute of Standards and
Technology (NIST) Risk Management Framework (RMF), and comparable
industry standards.Position is currently working remotely. Will
need to work onsite in a hybrid capacity when circumstances permit.
Job ResponsibilitiesSupport the FSO in the day-to-day management of
the NISPOMEstablishes, documents, implements, and monitors the
Information System (IS) Security Program, System Security Plans
(SSP) and related procedures for the facility and ensures facility
compliance with government requirements.Authors and maintains
documentation supporting the Assessment & Authorization (A&A)
of assigned systems in accordance with the Risk Management
Framework (RMF).Maintaining the System in accordance with the
security plan and Authorization to Operate (ATO).Obtaining and
maintaining NISP Enterprise Mission Assurance Support Service
(eMASS) access in order to effectively manage all security
authorizations for systems under their purview.Performing
configuration management of assigned systems.Developing,
maintaining, and updating, in coordination with all system
stakeholders, POA&Ms in order to identify system weaknesses,
mitigating actions, resources, and timelines for corrective
actions.Conducts periodic hardware and software inventory
assessments.Identifies system security control shortcomings and
serves as lead for remediating deficiencies.Investigates security
incidents such as data spills, data integrity and malicious events.
Provides security education training to employees.Acts as alternate
Facility Security Officer and COMSEC Account Manager.Performs
physical security duties to include managing access control devices
and security cameras. Other duties as required.Basic
QualificationsBachelor's degree and 5 years of relevant experience
ORAdvance degree and 3 years of relevant experience ORIn absence of
a degree, 9 years of relevant experience is requiredMust be a U.S.
CitizenMust have or be capable of obtaining a US Department of
Defense (DoD) security clearance. Candidate selected will be
subject to a government security investigation/reinstatement and
must meet eligibility requirements Knowledge of information systems
security components and best practices including firewalls,
intrusion detection systems, anti-virus software, data encryption,
and other industry-standard techniques and practices.Ability to
implement system security controls on multiple Operating Systems
(OS), UNIX, Linux, and Windows for both stand-alone and network
configurations.Experience with Windows server and VMware. Working
knowledge of security configuration requirements for individual
applications (i.e., Microsoft Office, Web Browsers, Network
Devices, etc.). Knowledge of related utilities and hardware, server
hardware and switches, storage management and TCP/IP, network
monitoring and tools.Must be able to obtain the Information
Assurance certification or security trainingAble to travel up to
15% domestically (when circumstances permit)Able to communicate and
make presentations to senior level leadershipMS Word and PowerPoint
experiencePreferred QualificationsBachelor's degree in IT or
related fieldsActive Personal Security Clearance (PCL)Experience as
an Information System Security Officer/Manager or compliance
role.Current CompTIA Security+/CISSP certificationRMF Training as
specified in the Defense Security Service Assessment and
Authorization Process ManualDOD 8570.01-M certification at IAM
