Date: May 1, 2023Position: Assistant ManagerProperty: Encelia C--ta VeraLocation: Chula Vista, CARequisition Number: 9001 Position SummaryWSH Management is currently recruiting for an Assistant Manager for our 175-unit lease up tax credit apartment community located in Chula Vista, near Franceschi Dr. and Donze Ave. Encelia C--ta Vera is located in the master planned community of C--ta Vera, the newest village in Otay Ranch. Inspired by the natural beauty of the Otay River Valley. Community offers an elevated new standard for modern living. Centralized amenity spaces include a computer center, game room and lounge, laundry facility, and outdoor sports & leisure facilities that promote well-being, relaxation, and healthy living. This is a full time position, 40 hours per week and is [not] required to live on site. Job DutiesThe Assistant Manager is responsible for effectively computing, classifying, and recording numerical data to keep financial records complete while assisting with the leasing, marketing, affordable housing program compliance and resident relations for the community.

  • Assist with marketing creating flyers on Publisher, following affirmative marketing requirements, pre-qualifying applicants, application processing, preparing & tracking compliance paperwork, and reviewing lease paperwork for applicants move-in.
  • Completing & executing written correspondence re application status, adverse actions, approval, denials, and other leasing actions needed.
  • Receive all telephone calls and in-person visits
  • Listen to resident requests, concerns and comments.
    • Demonstrate strong oral and written communication skills.
      • Address resident & applicant concerns and requests on timely basis to ensure resident satisfaction with management.
        • Provide general clerical assistance to community office. QualificationsWhile we are proud to offer on-the-job training for all positions, we prefer you to start with the following experience:
          • A minimum one-year experience in a customer service-related industry or one year apartment leasing experience or a combination of accounting skills/education with customer service experience is preferred.
          • Knowledge of Tax Credit program (preferred)
          • Competence in operation of telephone, business calculator, copy machine, facsimile, personal computer/keyboard, Microsoft Office including Word, Excel and MS Outlook.
          • Hard working with the desire to obtain on the job training.
          • Must possess a valid driver's license, maintain an acceptable driving record and provide proof of vehicle insurance.
          • High School Diploma or equivalent required; some college preferred. Must possess strong attention to detail and sales ability.
          • Candidate will be required to pass a background and drug screening. (A conviction will not necessarily disqualify you from employment with WSH Management.)

            • Base Pay Start Rate: $24.00 per hour.
