At least two years of signage and wayfinding experience. Working knowledge in computer aided technology and experience with computer drawing design programs.JOB SUMMARYManage projects related to signage and wayfinding. Responsible for scope, budget, and schedule related to the signage portion of the projects. Works closely and coordinates with team members, consultants, stakeholders, and signage vendors at all levels of schematic design to design documents, through the construction phase to acceptance and move-in.Salary RangeActual salary commensurate with experience.Specific Job-Related Duties

  • Works with the assigned Project Managers and Interiors Managers on development and integrating signage and wayfinding into interior design and scope of the project.
  • Acts as the owner s representative for the interior and exterior signage scope of a project.
  • Works with Portfolio Management and UTMB design consultants and/or architects in space planning and conceptual floorplans, as they relate to signage and wayfinding.
  • Communicates with the Project Manager to develop signage scope, budget, and schedule.
  • Communicates with the stakeholders regarding signage messaging, scope, and schedule.
  • During the construction phase of a project, responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the review of submittals, attendance at construction meetings, and making site visits as required.
  • Communicates with the Portfolio Management and the architect/graphic designer for all projects.
  • Collects, manages, and keeps an updated spreadsheet with all information required for signage requisitions/Purchase Orders. Reviews and approves all interior and exterior related invoices, so they can be given to the Team Coordinator to be sent for payment.
  • Works with the Principal Project Manager of Interiors to maintain and update the UTMB signage and wayfinding standards program; manage and document interior Healthcare and Non-Healthcare and exterior standards; review variance forms, if submitted.
  • Works with signage vendor(s) in development of scope and budget for all UTMB projects that involve signage; responsible to work with the project team and the signage vendor on punch lists at the conclusion of a project.
  • Responsible to become familiar/knowledgeable with company policies.
  • Ensures all signage is consistent with the UTMB brand. Work with Portfolio Management and Marketing and Communications for approvals and compliance with the current brand awareness.
  • Produces complex electronic illustrations, layouts, and digital images for incorporation into publications, displays, and presentations.
  • Produces specialized drawings and illustrations to meet customer requests.
  • Conducts planning meetings with customers to clarify needs and develop specifications for new projects and construction work orders.
  • Manages small to large signage requests to replace/update existing project or departmental signs, including delivery of existing signage for revisions to local signage vendors.
  • Participates in wayfinding and signage task forces.
  • Adheres to internal controls and reporting structure.
  • Monthly projections related to costs and products.
  • Annual signage cost analysis reports.
