This position reports to the Director of Quality and is responsible for deploying strategic initiatives, with a collaborative approach across all sites and value streams. Location of candidate is preferred to be near one of the following sites: Chula Vista, CA, Riverside, CA or Foley, AL.Position will work hybrid (onsite and offsite), near one of our sites in Chula Vista, CA, Riverside, CA or Foley, AL. Relocation available.Primary Responsibilities:

  • Be the voice of Advanced Product Quality Planning (APQP) across the Aerostructures division of Collins Aerospace.
  • Be the voice of quality for the APQP team members from other business functions.
  • Develop a system to track best practices and ensure all functions are implementing best practices.
  • Strong interaction/influence with design and program teams.
  • Develop governance plan for APQP (review and approval of deliverables).
  • Develop and drive strategy for Quality integration to APQP process.
  • Own the PPAP Center Of Excellence.
  • Develop one standard approach for PPAP (make and buy) including training development/deployment and resource alignment.
  • Support the engineering functions with the designation of Key Characteristics, development of DFMEA's and review of design stackups based off historical process performance.
  • Support Quality / Operations side of PPAP tools (E.g., PFMEA, Control Plans, Measurement Systems, Process Capability Studies).
  • Leverage Subject Matter Experts from other areas of the quality organization and other functions to support tactical activities.
  • Travel up to 30%, both domestic and international.Basic Qualifications:
    • Requires a University Degree and typically a minimum 12 years prior relevant experience or
    • Advanced Degree in a related field and typically a minimum 10 years of experience or
    • In absence of a degree, 16 years of relevant experience.
    • U.S. Person (U.S. citizen, permanent resident, refugee or asylee) or eligible to obtain necessary export authorizations required.

    • Strong communication, collaboration, and interpersonal skills, with a demonstrated ability to build credibility with, interact with, and influence stakeholders at all levels of the organization.
    • Proven ability to work cross-functionally as an effective business partner; well organized with solid judgment; able to multitask and adjust to changing priorities.
    • Demonstrated experience leading and managing teams of indirect or direct reports.
    • Experience with new product introduction.
    • Leadership experience with large scale projects and products
    • Must be able to create and present executive level presentations.Preferred Qualifications
      • Certified Quality Engineer.
      • Certified in Six Sigma or Shainin RedX Problem Solving.
      • Experience in automotive, aerospace manufacturing, medical etc.
      • Experience in APQP & PPAP.

The salary range for this role is 139,000 USD - 277,000 USD; however, Raytheon Technologies considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role and associated responsibilities, a candidate's work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.
