The Scripps Health team is dedicated to making a positive, measurable difference in the health of individuals in the communities we serve.Our -surgical acute nurses gain exposure to -general surgical patients including bariatric, ortho, spinal, urology, medical, telemetry, and trauma. - This is a high-functioning unit that boasts exceptionally high employee engagement and -patients satisfaction scores. - - - - - -As a Surgical Acute RN, you will:

• Provide direct patient care within the scope of your practice - patient care includes assessment, planning and implementing a plan of care, and evaluating patient's progress towards expected outcomes.
• Take primary responsibility for the patients' care as delivered by the Care Team under your supervision.
• Work -collaboratively with other members of the patient care team to ensure optimal patient care. -This is a Full Time (72 hours every two weeks) benefited position, working 12 Hour NIGHT -Shifts on variable days of the week. This position is located at our Scripps Mercy Hospital Chula Vista campus.This position is eligible for New Hire and Relocation Incentives up to $7K for Full Time.The following are not eligible for hiring incentives:

  • Rehires that left Scripps less than 3 years agoIn order to remain eligible for your retention incentive the following -criteria must be met:
    • Must remain in original hired FTE Status and Shift (if specified in offer -letter)
    • Must remain in original department/specialty
    • Must remain in original Job Title
    • Transfers to other locations will be reviewed on a case-by-case basis and -may result in forfeiting remaining incentive bonus unless specifically noted -in your offer letter.Required Qualifications: -
      • At least one year RN experience
      • Graduate from an accredited school for nursing
      • Current CA State RN license
      • American Heart Association BLS certificationPreferred Qualifications:
        • At least one year of -acute Med/Surg RN experience.
        • At least one year of Acute Long Term Care experience.
        • Bachelor's Degree in Nursing
