Scripps Mercy Hospital Chula Vista provides a variety of medical
and surgical services, including inpatient and outpatient care.
Located less than 10 miles from the US-Mexico border, Scripps Mercy
serves the cities of Chula Vista, Otay Mesa, National City,
Imperial Beach, Bonita and beyond.\n\n We invite you to join our
highly dynamic Maternal Child Health department in the Mother/Baby
unit as a Registered Nurse.\n\n The Registered Nurse (RN) provides
direct patient care within the scope of his/her
practice.\n\n\n\tPatient care includes assessment, planning and
implementing a plan of care and evaluating patients' progress
towards expected outcomes.\n\tThe RN takes primary responsibility
for the patients' care as delivered by the Care Team under his/her
supervision.\n\tWorks collaboratively with other members of the
patient care team to ensure optimal patient care.\n\n\n This is a
Part-Time (48 hours per pay period) position with a 12-hour night
shift schedule that may include weekends and holidays.\n\n Located
at Scripps Mercy Hospital Chula Vista.\n Preferred
Experience/Specialized Skills/Certification:\n\n\n\tBachelor's
degree in nursing preferred.\n\tFetal Heart Monitoring
Certification (AWHONN, K2, or NCC) preferred.\n\n\n Required
Experience/Specialized Skills: \n\n\n\t1-year experience in
post-partum\n\tMust be able to speak, read and follow instructions
in English.\n\tExcellent interpersonal skills.\n\tMust be able to
demonstrate positive behaviors.\n\n\n Required
Certification/Registration: \n\n\n\tCurrent CA RN
License\n\tCurrent BLS-C provider from AHA\n\tCurrent Advance NRP
certificate\n\n\n Required Education/Course(s)/Training:
\n\n\n\tRegistered nursing degree from an accredited school of
nursing. \n\n\n \n\n \n\n The following are not eligible for hiring
incentives:\n\n\n\tInternal candidates\n\tRehires that left Scripps
less than 3 years ago\n\n\n In order to remain eligible for your
retention incentive the following criteria must be met\n\n\n\tMust
remain in original hired FTE Status and Shift (if specified in
offer letter)\n\tMust remain in original
department/specialty\n\tMust remain in original Job
Title\n\tTransfers to other locations will be reviewed on a
case-by-case basis and may result in forfeiting remaining incentive
