Management Chula Vista, CA, US 4 days ago Requisition ID: 1162 Salary Range: $80,000.00 To 95,000.00 Annually CLASSIFICATION (FLSA): -EXEMPTSALARY RANGE: -$80K-$95KREPORTS TO: -HR DirectorJOB DESCRIPTIONSUMMARY/OBJECTIVEThe HR Lead assists the HR Director in the overall planning, administration, coordination, and evaluation of the human resource function by managing activities such as staffing process, employee relations, compensation and benefits, Worker's Compensation, leave of absences, performance management, training and development, terminations, and employment laws. The HR Lead also participates in the supervision, development, implementation, and monitoring of strategies for the success and growth of the HR department.ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS / DUTIES

  • Develop, implement, and monitor HR strategies, procedures and initiatives aligned with the overall business strategy.
  • Maintains responsibility for organization compliance with federal, state, and local legislation pertaining to all labor/personnel matters.
  • Advise and makes recommendations to HR Director for improvement of the organization's policies and recommend needed changes. In addition to procedures and practices on personnel matters.
  • Communicates changes in the organization's personnel policies and procedures and ensures that proper compliance is followed.
  • Assess training needs to apply and monitor training programs. Develop training materials and performance management programs to help ensure employees understand their job responsibilities.
  • Provide support, guidance and mentoring to HR staff as well as developing, implementing, and monitoring strategies for their growth and success.
  • Support current and future business needs through the development, engagement, motivation, and preservation of employees.
  • Assist in the management of the staffing process, such as recruiting, interviewing, hiring, and onboarding. In addition to managing the success of the planning and delivery of new employee orientation to foster positive attitude toward organizational objectives.
  • Analyze and modify compensation and benefits policies to establish competitive programs and ensure compliance with legal requirements.
  • Handling workplace investigations, disciplinary, and termination procedures.
  • Perform difficult staffing duties, including dealing with understaffing, refereeing disputes, firing employees, and administering disciplinary procedures.
  • Recommends, evaluates, and participates in staff development and conducting performance and salary reviews of the organization.
  • Provide guidance and direction to employees and managers in resolving employee relations issues/concerns (including harassment, discrimination, retaliation, workplace violence, and other violations of rules, regulations, policies, and procedure)
  • Conduct necessary investigations, analyze details, and create defensible summary reports
  • Recommend effective solutions for addressing workplace issues and corrective action in accordance with company policies and applicable laws
  • Recommend new approaches, policies, and procedures to maintain efficient and effective employee relations and companywide services
  • Assists employees and supervisors with interpretation of HR policies and procedures
  • Performs a wide range of duties relative to the maintenance and processing of personnel records and reports, and disciplinary actions
  • Track, and analyze employee relations trends to determine and recommend improvements
  • Proactively identify opportunities to enhance the employee experience and help develop and implement innovative solutions
  • Conduct annual Supervisory Trainings, and make revisions as required by law and or changes to company policy
  • Assist employees with PTO and Leave of Absences requests
  • Assist with departmental employee evaluations and performance related concerns
  • Assists with Injury Reports / Osha Log / Workers Compensation Claims
  • Administers HR reports such as EEO-1, CA Pay Data Reports, and all other applicable reports
  • Performs HRIS data entry and personnel file maintenanceKNOWLEDGE -
    • In-depth knowledge of labor law and HR best practices
    • Personnel and Human Resources - Knowledge of a broad range of human resource strategies and practices, including compensation, performance management, safety, hiring and employee relations; able to apply these strategies and practices in compliance with employment regulations.
    • Administration and Management - Knowledge of business and management principles involved in strategic planning, resource allocation, human resources modeling, leadership technique, production methods, and coordination of people and resources.
    • Law and Government - Knowledge of laws, legal codes, court procedures, precedents, government regulations, executive orders, etc.

          • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources or related field.
          • Minimum of 7 years in Human Resources.
          • Experience in educating and coaching staff.
          • Experience in conflict resolution, disciplinary processes, and workplace investigations.WORK AUTHORIZATION CLEARANCEAll employees MUST present a valid export document.
