Job Description Company Description We're an early stage
compounding pharmacy startup based in San Diego, CA. We've
partnered with a rapidly growing online tele-health platform
conducting groundbreaking research in the field of dermatology. We
are NOT building a "copy paste" 503A for HRT or other highly
competitive sectors. We're focused on engineering truly novel,
highly specialized vehicles to drastically enhance the
pharmacokinetic profile and topical delivery efficacy of several
popular API's. The founding team has a strong background in
software & robotics engineering and is building innovative
automation tools to break traditional manual labor barriers in
compounding. Role Description We’re recruiting a co-founder and
Pharmacist in Charge (PIC) to help build a modern 503A compounding
pharmacy from the ground up in San Diego. This is not a traditional
retail pharmacist role, and it is not a broad-menu compounding
operation built around commodity categories. The right person will
help architect the pharmacy side of the business end to end:
licensure, SOPs, quality systems, hazardous non-sterile compounding
workflows, facility/equipment planning, batch production, release
oversight, and inspection readiness. You’ll work closely with the
founder and a high-growth telehealth partner to translate
formulation and process innovation into a compliant, scalable
operating model with strong unit economics. This is a builder role.
We’re looking for someone who wants real ownership over how the
pharmacy is designed and run. The role can be structured as
part-time during launch and early operations, with a path to a
larger full-time leadership role as the business scales.
Compensation will include cash salary plus meaningful founding
equity. Qualifications Active pharmacist license in good standing,
with ability to serve as PIC in California. Founder mentality: high
agency, low ego, comfortable with ambiguity, and motivated by
building something from zero. Wants real ownership, not just a job.
Excited by equity, autonomy, and the opportunity to help shape the
company’s direction. Comfortable using modern tools, including AI
and automation, to move faster and build smarter. Interest in
working in a highly specialized pharmacy model focused on a small
number of products done exceptionally well. Ability to work on-site
in the San Diego area. Open to a flexible role structure that may
begin part-time and expand over time as the business scales. Nice
to have: Experience with 503A compounding. Experience with topical
liquids/serums/emulsions and oral solid dosage forms.
