Job Description:

Our busy law firm is growing and we are looking for a litigation attorney to join our probate litigation division. The ideal candidate will have a couple of years of litigation experience. You would be mentored by more senior attorneys at the firm and will have direct client contact and court experience from the start.

Responsibilities:

--- Complete legal research and prepare motions, pleadings, and briefs
--- Represent clients in court to argue motions during legal proceedings
--- Counsel clients by assessing options and determining the best course of action for a successful outcome
--- Draft correspondence, legal pleadings, motions, and briefs
--- Take responsibility for administrative staff relating to client invoicing/billing records, setting up meetings with clients and completing tasks


Qualifications:

--- Strong knowledge of legal research programs such as Westlaw and Lexis products is required
--- Work independently while handling a heavy caseload
--- Over 1 year of experience representing clients in a law firm
--- Decision-making, public speaking, problem-solving, interpersonal skills, and communication skills are a must
--- Must be a member of your local bar association - active member preferred
