Job Description Position Summary: Student Services Representative assists with admissions, enrollments, and student services. Works collaboratively with NUVHS Student Services Coordinator and other department representatives to implement daily operational student services functions for NUVHS. Services include, but are not limited to student recruitment, lead management, admissions, retention, enrollments, student support, and records functions. Essential Functions: Provides current and prospective high school students and parents with pertinent information regarding NUVHS programs, course options, fees, K-12 advising, and general school information. Responds to specific prospective student/parent inquiries by telephone and email. Navigates the school student information system (PeopleSoft) to access and manage student records. Retrieves voice and chat messages in order to provide prompt responses and resolutions to customer inquiries and/or concerns. Engages in daily recruitment and support services for prospective and current students Navigates the learning management system (Blackboard) in order to address student/parent online course questions and to dialogue with NUVHS teaching staff. Provides direct support services and timely responses to students and parents. Navigates the customer relations management system (Right Now & OnDemand) for email communications and lead management. Other duties as assigned Supervisory Responsibilities: None Requirements: Education & Experience High School diploma required; one year of college preferred 1 3 years administrative office experience in a professional environment Experience in K-12 academic/admissions counseling, customer service, call center, or related support area with assisting clients, parents or students preferred Minimum of two (2) years of experience in using computers, including Microsoft Office software suite. Technical / Functional Skills Strong customer service focused skills; ability to maintain a positive and professional demeanor in a demanding position. Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment with multiple deadlines and frequently changing priorities. Must have strong data entry skills with a focus on accuracy. Knowledge of customer relations management, online learning management, and student information systems. Competencies Ability to work as member of a team and to develop collaborative working relationships. Ability to take direction and work independently. Communication; both written and verbal. Flexibility; the ability to move from one task to another, as needed. Hours of Work Hours may vary between 8:00 am to 6:00 pm Monday Friday; 10-28 hours per week. Additional hours may be necessary due to business needs. Periodic Saturday work hours required during the summer term. Physical Demands / Environment Sedentary work. Exerting up to 10 pounds of force occasionally and/or negligible amount of force frequently or constantly to lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects. The worker is required to have close visual acuity to perform an activity such as preparing and analyzing data and figures and viewing a computer terminal.
