Job Description:

Non-Exempt$20 per hourThe Supervised Visitation Monitor under the supervision of the Program Director and Department Director is responsible for providing services to SBCS' culturally diverse families and/or individuals and the community. Services will be in keeping with the agency goals, objectives, mission and style provided within a team framework. Associates are responsible for working with the team in developing team goals and objectives and in meeting those goals and objectives.DUTIES:Observes and records interactions during visits. Intervenes as necessary.Conducts intakes and orientations with both custodial and non-custodial parent and children.Documents all contacts, including visits, calls and others methods of communication.Completes accurate and factual documentation of all visits.Completes all required case file documentation in a timely and routine fashion.Ensures the safety of all participants.Follows orders as set forth by the court orders.Provides safety planning and crisis intervention as needed.Communicates with all involved parties as requested.Works collaboratively and communicates appropriately with other staff members.Utilizes the Agency's approved data base.Maintains client case files in accordance to Agency standards.Participates in team meetings, trainings, individual supervision and clinical group supervision.Adheres to agency client confidentiality, HIPAA, and mandated reporting policies.Participates in agency required trainings, staff meetings, and activities.Other duties as assigned by the Program Director. RequirementsMinimum 2 years experience in child, youth and family services field. Experience should preferably have been in a community based or neighborhood service organization. Ability to work with a diverse cultural population. Work hours will consist of afternoon and evening hours, including Saturday. Minimum B.A. or B.S. degree in social work, psychology or related field. Bilingual (English/Spanish) required. Own transportation, valid California driver's license, bondable and insurable.Physical Demands: Stand: Remaining on one's feet in an upright position. Walking: Moving about on foot. Lifting: Raising or lowering an object from one level to another (includes upward pulling) 25-50 lbs Carrying: Transporting an object, usually holding it in the hands or arms, or on the shoulder Pushing: Exerting force upon an object so that the object moves away from the force. Pulling: Exerting force upon an object so that the object moves toward the force (includes jerking) Climbing: Ascending or descending stairs, using feet and legs or hands and arms. Body agility is emphasized Balancing: Maintaining body equilibrium to prevent falling when walking, standing, crouching. Stooping: Bending body downward and forward by bending spine at the waist, requiring full use of the lower extremities and back muscles. Handling: Seizing, holding, grasping, turning, or otherwise working with hand or hands. Fingers are involved only to the extent that they are an extension of the hand. Finger Movement: Picking, pinching, or otherwise working primarily with fingers rather than with the whole hand or arm as in handling Talking: Expressing or exchanging ideas by means of the spoken word.
