Description:The San Diego KOA is an award winning outdoor campground resort looking for a hard working facilities & maintenance team member. For over 50 years we have been welcoming guests and families from all over the world. Sunny southern California allows us to be open 365 days a year offering camping in RVs, Cabins, Deluxe Cabins & tents. Our goal is to create a great camping experience for our guests by offering excellent customer service. • 40 hours/week
• 10am - 6:30pm
• Wednesday - Sunday
• $18/hour & up depending on experience
• Subsidized health insurance after 6-days
• Paid vacation & Simple IRA contributions after completed milestonesRESPONSIBILITIES--- Ensures customers receive a high level of service consistent with our customer service philosophy--- Help to ensure the safety of guest and campground property with attentive observation and action--- Help enforce campground policies and implement solutions consistent with goals of park--- Proactive guest management to ensure positive environment for all guests--- Custodial work to maintain high standard of cleanliness in all facilities--- Light Pool maintenance--- Proactive approach to the daily repair and maintenance of campground facilities - which can include: Landscaping, electrical work, vehicle maintenance, driving large equipment and construction--- Other duties as assigned by the maintenance or general managerRequirements:--- Good customer service and communications skills--- Able to work with others and work independently--- Basic to intermediate skills in electrical, plumbing, and carpentry--- Able to operate light vehicles safely on property--- Intermediate to advanced knowledge of common repair tools--- Capable of digging, bending, climbing, and other manual labor--- Professional Appearance and attitude towards guests and fellow team members--- Communicate professionally and patiently--- Be on your feet during shift and able to lift at least 50 lbs.--- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment--- Bilingual English/Spanish a plusMany of our projects are done in house so a broad base of knowledge and strong work ethic is important. This position will require working as part of a team for some of the shift as well as completing tasks independently or with other departments.
