K2 Claims Services, LLC (K2 Claims), a subsidiary of K2 Insurance Services, is seeking a full-time Commercial Auto Physical Damage Adjuster to join its team. This position will be primarily remote with occasional meetings and/or projects located in our offices in San Diego, California or Harrisburg, Pennsylvania.The preferred candidate will have 5+ years of commercial auto physical damage experience. The candidate should be a self-starter and motivated to help build a world-class TPA.K2 Claims offers the opportunity to join an established company in growth mode. The Commercial Auto Physical Damage Adjuster job responsibilities and expectations will include:

• Handling claims pursuant to state specific insurance regulations along with K2 Claims Best Practices.
• The ability to handle low exposure to complex physical damage claims with knowledge of commercial semi tractor and trailer equipment specifically oil/gas and natural gas tankers. Knowledge of reefer, dry van and flatbed trailers also preferred.
• Investigating basic facts of the loss to confirm liability which may include obtaining statements from involved parties, analyzing documents/relevant facts and evaluating damages.
• Working in unison with adjusters assigned to additional coverages (e.g. bodily injury adjusters).
• Negotiating settlements within your provided settlement authority.
• The ability and understanding to analyze risk transfer options and/or insurance priority (e.g. time of risk).
• The ability and organization skills to escalate time sensitive demands and/lawsuits.
• Managing salvage bids/awards.
• Referring claims to subrogation and/or SIU.
• Writing detailed large loss reports regarding the claim, recommended reserve/settlement authority and/or plan of action for sr. management and our clients.
• Analyzing physical damage coverage pertaining to the facts of loss.
• Must obtain and maintain required adjuster licenses.
• The position may require some travel for training, mediations, and/or trials. Ideally, the Commercial Auto Physical Damage Adjuster will have the following education and experience:
  • A Bachelors Degree-preferred but not required.
  • Previous experience handling commercial auto physical damage claims for several types of equipment including semi tractors, oil/gas and natural gas tankers, dry van, reefer and flatbed trailers.
  • Previous experience handling commercial auto physical damage claims in a TPA and/or insurance carrier environment.
  • Familiarity with multiple states statutory requirements regarding claims handling requirements.
  • Strong customer service focus.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proficiency in Word, Excel, and Outlook.
