Position Details:
--- Title: Plant Operations & Maintenance Supervisor
--- Location: San Diego, CA (El Cajon plant)
--- Shift: M-F 7a-3:30p
--- Compensation: $52-$65/hour + OT

Position Description:
Assist Plant Manager in supervising, managing, and directing the production activities for multiple power production facilities including gas turbine generators, solar fields, battery energy storage systems, and other technologies which includes the activities of workers engaged in the administration, operation, maintenance, and repair of mechanical equipment such as gas turbines, gas compressors, air compressors, motors, pumps.
--- In the absence of the Plant Manager, fulfills the duties of Plant Manager.
--- Works with, assists, provides training, mentors the O&M Technicians in all aspects of the daily job duties including diagnosing malfunctions in machinery and equipment.
--- Expected to spend at least 85% of their time performing job duties of an O&M Technician.
--- Recommend/implement measures to improve production methods, performance, product quality.
--- Analyze and resolves work problems and assists workers in solving work problems.
--- Confer with other plant managers, operation & maintenance supervisors and company staff to coordinate activities between other company plants.
--- Participate in creation, assignment, closeout, & review maintenance actions taken on work order forms.
--- Creation and reviews of purchase orders for parts, ensuring budgetary constraints are met.
--- Reads and understands technical manuals and system piping and instrumentation diagrams.
--- Assist in interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work.

Requirements:
--- 15+ years military leadership experience in power plant operations (Navy GSMs, MMs with steam plant experience, Navy Nuclear plant operators)
--- Bachelors in engineering + five years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and military experience.
--- Ability to read and interpret documents, write routine reports/correspondence, and speak effectively.
--- Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume. (basic algebra and geometry).
